Kris is the founder and designer behind LX JOOL, a fine jewelry collection handcrafted in her Florida studio using natural gemstones, recycled precious metals, and traditional jewelry-making techniques.

 

With more than 29 years of design experience, Kris brings a deep understanding of color, form, and craftsmanship to each piece. Her passion for gemstones led her to become a certified Professional Gemologist before training as a fine jeweler, where she developed the technical foundation that continues to shape her work today.

 

Natural gemstones are central to Kris’ design process. Drawn to their individual colors, shapes, textures, and inclusions, she often allows the stone itself to inspire the finished piece rather than designing around a predetermined form.

 

This approach is reflected in LX JOOL’s signature molten aesthetic. Inspired by the fluid forms of molten metal and the playful colors and textures of confectionery, Kris creates sculptural designs that pair vibrant gemstones with organic, hand-formed settings. Softening classic confectionery shapes into fluid, molten forms, her collections bring a playful vibrancy and unexpected color to fine jewelry.

 

The result is jewelry that feels artistic and sophisticated while retaining a sense of individuality and fun. Each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted, and the natural variation of the gemstones means no two pieces are exactly alike.
